political conundrum

A two party system seems like a distant dream today after looking at the questionable state of our democratic rule. Come May 16th... we will witness another round of the "who own the power" game. With every party shifting sides quicker than changing clothes in summer and with what finesse, there is no room for a stable and a secure bond to exist between any two parties. I am sure the parties themselves would have lost count of the number of alliances they have shiftedin the past few years. The conviction to do something for the nation and its people seems to have died. It is only I - MY POWER - MY EGO. At this time when two big parties and the several others are forming fronts in the power game, several independent contestants are participating in the elections, which come as a breather. And to determine how well they fare and if they get into the big league - will their conviction remain, is a distant thought. Will the big sharks of politics chew up these small fishes? Yes, in all probability. Politics and pol games are fun to watch! Yes, they are!

Hmmm. But I don't see (at least not anymore) independents as being of any use - most of them trade people's trust for seats after the elections. In a way they have no ideologies to live upto and so they take advantage of it. I'm bored of the elections now - it's the same thing every single time. No wonder we needed a Jaago Re (despite that the paltry turnout o course).
